PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for germination in mushroom cultivation while preventing bad effects on other instruments even while keeping the environment of a germination chamber in a suitable high humidity. SOLUTION: A spawn 3 is inoculated in a cultivation medium 2 prepared in a mushroom-cultivating container 1 and cultured, and the cultured spawn is germinated by inserting the mushroom-cultivating container 1 in the germination chamber 21. The germination chamber 21 is kept at high humidity by a humidifying means 31, and has a shelf device 22 freely storing the container 4 storing the mushroom-cultivating container 1 by the unit of a shelf pallet 51. The shelf pallet 51 is put into and taken out of the shelf device 22 by a putting-in and out device 24 freely movable between the germination chamber 21 and an isolating chamber part 41. When the putting-in and out device 24 enters the isolating chamber part 41, the connecting passage 42 between the germination chamber 21 and the isolating chamber part 41 is closed by a moisture-proofing door 43.
