PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental material which can be cured extremely rapidly by radical polymerization.SOLUTION: The dental material contains at least a polymerizable N,O-functionalized acrylic acid hydroxyamide represented by general formula (I). Use of the amide represented by formula (I) for preparing a material for use as a dental material is also provided.
