PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge electric field generator capable of attaining the efficient removal or deactivation of various kinds of particular substances included in the air within a chamber.SOLUTION: Provided is a discharge electric field generator comprising: a discharge electrode 13 and a counter electrode 14; a power supply 30 applying voltage between the discharge electrode 13 and the counter electrode 14; and a particle sensor 2 detecting the amount of the granular substance included in the air within a chamber. The power supply 30 applies the first voltage between the discharge electrode 13 and the counter electrode 14 in the case the amount of the granular substance included in the air within the chamber being more than a pre-set standard amount, and applies the second voltage whose wave form is different from that of the first voltage between the discharge electrode 13 and the counter electrode 14 in the case the amount of the granular substance included in the air within the chamber being below the standard amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5【課題】室内の空気中に含まれる様々な種類の粒子状物質の効率的な除去又は不活化を図ることができる放電電界生成装置を提供する。【解決手段】放電電界生成装置において、放電電極13及び対向電極14と、放電電極13と対向電極14との間に電圧を印加する電源装置30と、室内の空気中に含まれる粒子状物質の量を検出する粒子センサ2と、を備える。電源装置30は、室内の空気中に含まれる粒子状物質の量が予め設定された基準量以上の場合に放電電極13と対向電極14との間に第1の電圧を印加し、室内の空気中に含まれる粒子状物質の量が基準量未満の場合に放電電極13と対向電極14との間に第1の電圧とは波形が異なる第2の電圧を印加する。【選択図】図5
