PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicine storage box with a function of preventing a failure to take medicine that can be formed at a low cost with simple configuration and suitably used in an ordinary home or the like while sufficiently enhancing an effect of preventing the failure to take medicine by attaining notification related to an operation of taking the medicine even for a patient such as the aged.SOLUTION: The medicine storage box includes a medicine storage case that can store medicine for the morning, daytime, night, etc. inside detecting means capable of detecting operations such as an operation of drawing out the medicine storage case and an operation of opening/closing a lid a clock means that can set time for 24 hours a day notifying means capable of giving notification with light, sound, or the like at the time set by the clock means and a control means for stopping notification by the notifying means when the operation of the medicine storage case corresponding to the notification by the notifying means is detected by the detecting means.
