PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of obtaining royal jelly which has a higher hypotensive effect than royal jelly obtained by a conventional method and having a hypotensive effect, and demonstrates useful characteristics besides a high hypotensive effect.
SOLUTION: A method for producing the royal jelly which has a hypotensive effect comprises a process of fermenting royal jelly by Paenibacillus polymyxa. A royal jelly composition and a hypotensive agent which contain the royal jelly obtained by the production method, and having a hypotensive effect, in more details, an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibiting effect are each provided.
