Theseam includes one ply of overwrap materialdisposed at a first margin of a overwrapblank superposed on a second ply of over-wrapmaterial disposed at a second marginof the overwrap blank, opposite the first.The overwrap has a substantially continuousline of weakness that intersects a plane in-cludingthe longitudinal axis of the pack-ageddevice at at least three unique loca-tions.The line of weakness extends acrossthe longitudinal overlap seam and includesweakness components superposed in eachply of the overlap seam, and the line ofweakness is arranged and configured in amanner to permit the overwrap to remain asa unitary structure upon destruction of theline of weakness.
