A hardware key for connecting an electrophysiological catheter and a navigation system including a patient interface module (PIU), comprising a housing with a first electrical interface module; a supporting part with a second electrical interface module having an outer flexible tubular element with shape memory. 2. The hardware key according to claim 1, wherein the support portion comprises a tubular "gooseneck" structure. 3. The hardware key according to claim 1, wherein the support portion comprises a coil spring. The hardware key of claim 1, wherein the first electrical interface module comprises an electrical connection port configured to receive an electrical plug. The hardware key of claim 1, wherein the second electrical interface module comprises an electrical connection plug configured to insert an electrical connection into a port. The hardware key according to claim 4, wherein the electrical interface module is configured to receive electrical signals from the catheter. The hardware key according to claim 4, in which electrical signals characterize electrical activity in the patient's body.
