The present invention pertains to a medical article (1) for use in compression therapy, comprising a continuous compression film (2) for application around the limb to provide compression of the limb and an adhesive (3) covering at least a portion of a first surface (4) of the continuous compression film, the adhesive being configured such as to skin-attach the continuous compression film. The continuous compression film has viscoelastic properties in at least one stretch direction (6, 6) in the plane of the continuous compression film. The present invention particularly pertains to a skin-adhering bandage for compression therapy comprising such a medical article.
