A system for facilitating measurement of a persons blood pressure having: a) a cuff that is configured to: i) be operatively situated in relationship to a persons arm and ii) strategically exert different pressure on the persons arm to controllably restrict blood flow therein and b) a base assembly that supports the cuff. The base assembly is configured to allow selective placement of the cuff in first and second different positions relative to the person with the person in a measurement taking position. The cuff in the first position is configured to be operatively situated in relationship to the persons left arm. The cuff in the second position is configured to be operatively situated in relationship to the persons right arm.
