PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphorescent fiber having excellent phosphorescent property and strength, which is particularly suitable for manufacturing interior products and personal accessories. The phosphorescent fiber of the present invention has a core-sheath composite monofilament structure having a core layer and a sheath layer, and the sheath layer is made of a soft polyvinyl chloride resin containing a phosphorescent agent. . The sheath layer preferably contains 7% by weight or more of a light storage agent having a particle size of 20 μm or more, and the core layer preferably contains 200 to 1200 dtex multifilaments, particularly glass fibers.
