A method for preparing a formulation comprising clomazone is disclosed, the method comprising the steps of (i) combining microcapsules having a polymer shell and a core comprising clomazone, a solid carrier and a binder to form a mixture; (ii) forming granules from the resulting mixture; (iii) applying a composition comprising a binder to coat the granules; and (iv) drying the thus coated granules. A further method for preparing a formulation comprising clomazone is provided, the method comprising the steps of (i) combining microcapsules having a polymer shell and a core comprising clomazone, a solid carrier and a dispersant to form a mixture; (ii) forming granules from the resulting mixture; (iii) applying a composition comprising a dispersant to coat the granules; and (iv) drying the thus coated granules. A still further method for preparing a formulation comprising clomazone is provided, the method comprising the steps of (i) combining microcapsules having a polymer shell and a core comprising clomazone, a solid carrier, a binder and a dispersant to form a mixture; (ii) forming granules from the resulting mixture; (iii) applying a composition comprising a dispersant to coat the granules; (iv) applying a composition comprising a binder to coat the granules; and (v) drying the thus coated granules.
