The invention is in the field of milking equipment and, more particularly, to a milking cluster of teat cups and a distributor device for mounting with the cluster and for distributing treatment fluid to the teat cups of the cluster, post milking. The invention relates to a distributor device for distributing treatment fluid to teat cups of a milking cluster. The problem addressed by the invention is that a malfunction could cause treatment fluid to be sent to the distributor and therefore to the teat cups during milking, contaminating the milk. The solution proposed by the invention is to provide a safety valve in the distributor that vents the inlet of the distributor to external environment during milking, so that any treatment fluid that is wrongly sent to the distributor during milking will exit through the vent, rather than being sent to the teat cups.
