PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope catheter capable of causing an image detector to reach a desired diagnosis region safely and quickly in a comparatively narrow lumen in a living body such as a blood vessel or a bronchial tube irrespective of presence or absence of a narrow section.SOLUTION: An endoscope catheter includes a shaft, an image detector, and a guide wire. The shaft includes: an elongated flexible shaft body a balloon part provided at the distal end of the shaft body, the balloon part equipped with a balloon expandable and contractable around an axis and a first lumen through which the image detector passes, and which can extend in a distal direction and a fluid lumen passing through the shaft body, the fluid lumen allowing fluid for expanding or contracting the balloon to flow.
