PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sudden halt of a system accompanying a decrease in battery remaining level.
SOLUTION: A remaining level comparing part 9 of a portable ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 100 compares the battery remaining level R0 of a battery power source 7 which is gradually reduced and is measured by a remaining level measuring part 8 with prescribed threshold values R1-R3 (R1>R2>R3). Then, an alarm signal generating part 10 displays an alarm signal generated from the compared result between the battery remaining level R0 and the threshold value R1 on a display part 13, and a data storage part 12 stores image data or the like collected from a subject from the compared result between the battery remaining level R0 and the threshold value R2. A system control part 16 updates an examination mode from a normal examination mode to an electric power saving examination mode from the compared result between the battery remaining level R0 and the threshold value R3, and a guidance generating part 11 generates a system halt guidance to safely halt the system from the compared result between the battery remaining level R0 and the threshold value R3 and displays it on the display part 13.
