Die Erfindung betrifft ein System zur Applikation eines Implantates (2), insbesondere eines selbstexpandierenden Implantates (2) an einem Implantationsort, bevorzugt einem Blutgefäß oder dem Herz, umfassend einen schleusenbildenden Katheter (1) und ein darin eingesetztes zu applizierendes Implantat (2), das durch den schleusenbildenden Katheter (1) hindurch zum Implantationsort transportierbar ist, bei dem das Implantat (2) an seiner zum Implantationsort weisenden Seite ein Durchgangselement (3) aufweist, durch welches ein im schleusenbildenden Katheter (1) liegender Führungsdraht (6) hindurchgelegt ist und im schleusenbildenden Katheter (1) ein Schiebekatheter (7) angeordnet ist, der den Führungsdraht (6) umgibt und der auf dem Führungsdraht (6) in Richtung zum Implantationsort schiebbar ist und für dessen zum Implantationsort weisendes Ende das Durchgangselement (3) einen nicht durchdringbaren Anschlag bildet.
