PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insect repelling sound output device for a vehicle capable of preventing an insect outside a vehicle from hitting the travelling vehicle and adhering to the vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle 1 is equipped with a computer 2 for controlling on-vehicle instruments such as a prime mover including an internal combustion engine and a motor, a speaker 4 for outputting a sound toward ahead of the vehicle 1, and a vehicle speed sensor 5 for detecting a vehicle speed based on the rotation of a drive system of the vehicle 1. When the vehicle speed is a threshold or more, the computer 2 executes insect repelling control for causing the speaker 4 to output a sound of the frequency band that is disliked by the insect, toward ahead of the vehicle in the traveling direction of the vehicle 1. By executing the insect repelling control, the insect present ahead of the vehicle 1 in the travelling direction of the vehicle 1 flees from the route of the vehicle 1 due to the sound output from the speaker 4 when the vehicle 1 is travelling at a high speed, which is the threshold or more so that the insect is prevented from hitting the vehicle 1 and adhering to the vehicle 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1【課題】車外の虫が走行中の車両に当たって付着することを抑制できる車両の防虫音出力装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両１は、内燃機関やモータといった原動機など車載機器を制御するためのコンピュータ２と、車両１の前方に向けて音を出力するスピーカ４と、車両１の駆動系の回転に基づいて車速を検出する車速センサ５とを備える。コンピュータ２は、車速が閾値以上であるとき、スピーカ４から車両１の進行方向前方に向けて虫の嫌う周波数帯の音を出力させる防虫制御を実行する。この防虫制御を実行することにより、車両１が閾値以上という速い速度で走行しているとき、車両１の進行方向前方に存在する虫がスピーカ４から出力される上記音によって車両１の進路上から逃げるため、その虫が車両１に当たって付着することは抑制される。【選択図】図１
