The present invention relates to a method and nano-sized particles for image guided radiotherapy (IGRT) of a target tissue. More specifically, the invention relates to nano-sized particles comprising X-ray-imaging contrast agents in solid form with the ability to block x-rays, allowing for simultaneous or integrated external beam radiotherapy and imaging, e.g., using computed tomography (CT).La présente invention concerne un procédé et des nanoparticules destinés à une radiothérapie guidée par limage (Image Guided Radiotherapy, IGRT) dun tissu cible. Plus précisément, linvention concerne des nanoparticules comportant des agents de contraste sous forme solide pour imagerie par rayons X dotés de la capacité darrêter les rayons X, ce qui permet à la radiothérapie par faisceau externe et à limagerie dêtre simultanées ou intégrées, par ex. en utilisant la tomographie informatisée (Computed Tomography, CT).
