The present invention generally relates to medical devices and methods. More specifically, the present invention describes an externally placed device for monitoring, diagnosing, and optionally treating snoring and sleep apnea. A device for monitoring patient breathing includes a collar having a microprocessor and a memory connectable to a plurality of sensors.
