To provide a door unit that can be opened wide in a door unit having an opening, and to provide a pet cage with this door unit.SOLUTION: The door unit 10 has a frame 11, a plurality of sliding doors 12, 13, and a fixed fence 14. The frame 11 is assembled with vertical wires 101 and lateral wires 102 in a frame shape and is provided with an opening surface 15. The sliding doors 12, 13 are each assembled with vertical wires 101 and lateral wires 102 in a planar shape, with the opening surface 15 opened/closed by laterally sliding. The frame 11 is provided with lateral fixed guide wires 112 that guide the sliding of the respective sliding doors 12, 13. The sliding doors 12, 13 are provided with fixed guide wire sliders 123, 134 that engage with the fixed guide wires 112 to slide.
