The invention relates to a method for detecting the presence of a portable direct radiographic panel in a medical imaging system comprising radiographic exposure stands, each stand and each panel being provided with an NFC tag. The method comprises positioning a panel in an exposure stand such that the NFC tags of the panel and the stand are in each others operating range, detecting the presence of the panel in the exposure stand by a communication between these NFC tags and communicating the presence of the panel in the exposure stand to the medical imaging system.La présente invention concerne un procédé de détection de la présence dun panneau radiographique portable direct dans un système dimagerie médicale comprenant des stands dexposition radiographique, chaque stand et chaque panneau étant dotés dun marqueur NFC (communication en champ proche). Le procédé comprend le positionnement dun panneau dans un stand dexposition de telle sorte que les marqueurs NFC du panneau et du stand se trouvent dans la plage fonctionnelle lun de lautre, la détection de la présence du panneau dans le stand dexposition par une communication entre ces marqueurs NFC et la communication de la présence du panneau dans le stand dexposition au système dimagerie médicale.
