FORMULATION D'OBTURATEUR INTRA-MAMMAIRE DE TRAYON ET PROCÉDÉ D'UTILISATION CORRESPONDANT POUR RÉDUIRE OU ÉLIMINER DES DÉFAUTS VISUELS DANS DES FROMAGES VIEILLIS
Described is an intra-mammary teat sealant and a corresponding method of forming a physical barrier in the teat canal of a non-human animal for prophylactic treatment of mammary disorders during the animal's dry period. The method includes the step of infusing a teat seal formulation including a metal salt in a glyceride-containing gel base into the teat canal of the animal. The method also prevents the formation of black spot defect in dairy products, especially cheddar cheese, made from the milk of animals so treated.L'invention porte sur un obturateur intra-mammaire de trayon et sur un procédé correspondant de formation d'une barrière physique dans le canal de trayon d'un animal non humain pour un traitement prophylactique de troubles mammaires lors d'une période sèche de l'animal. Le procédé comporte l'étape d'infusion d'une formulation d'obturateur de trayon renfermant un sel de métal dans une base de gel contenant un glycéride dans le canal de trayon de l'animal. Le procédé empêche également la formation de défauts de points noirs dans des produits laitiers, notamment dans le fromage cheddar fabriqué à partir du lait d'animaux ainsi traités.
