A temporary urinary catheter assembly comprising: a temporary urinary catheter comprising a catheter tube having a proximal end and a distal end, where the proximal end contains a catheter tip and the distal end contains a catheter connector, and a catheter pack for accommodating a temporary urinary catheter, however, the package has a generally elongated shape, has a proximal end and a distal end and is made of tubular material, where the package contains a cavity to accommodate at least the input part of the tube tera- moreover, the catheter package is equipped with an opening defining a predetermined area in the side wall of the tubular material in order to allow the catheter to be removed from the package. 2. A temporary urinary catheter assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the temporary urinary catheter is equipped with a hydrophilic surface coating. A temporary urinary catheter assembly according to claim 1, characterized in that the hole in the predetermined area is a through hole.
