This application provides a device for delivering a beneficial substance to a patient. The device comprises a shell enclosing a plurality of carrier particles. The carrier particles are porous, and a beneficial substance, such as a drug, is disposed in the pores. The drug can diffuse out of the pores, into the interior of the device, and then through at least one permeable portion of the shell. This application also provides methods of making and using these devices.Cette invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'administrer à un patient une substance bienfaisante.
