Disclosed in the present invention is a washing machine using an ultraviolet light emitting diode, capable of performing sterilization and deodorization of the inside of a washing machine without disassembling. The disclosed washing machine using an ultraviolet light emitting diode includes: a drum； a plurality of lifters protruded towards the inside of the drum； and a plurality of ultraviolet light emitting diodes (UV LEDs) installed on the end portions of the lifters to sterilize and deodorize laundries transferred to the inside of the drum.본 발명은 드럼 내부에 반입된 세탁물의 살균 및 탈취가 가능한 자외선 발광 다이오드를 이용한 세탁장치가 개시된다.개시된 본 발명의 자외선 발광 다이오드를 이용한 세탁장치는 드럼과, 드럼 내부에 돌출된 복수의 리프터 및 복수의 리프터 끝단에 설치되어 드럼 내부에 반입된 세탁물을 살균 및 탈취하는 복수의 UV LED 어레이를 가지는 자외선 발광 유닛을 포함한다.
