A method for treating chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting in individuals undergoing chemotherapy and previously treated with, and whom failed to respond to, a 5- HT3 antagonist other than granisetron is described. Individuals who fail to respond to, for example, palonosetron, as evidenced by an inadequate prevention or attenuation of acute or delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, are treated with a semi-solid drug delivery vehicle that provides a sustained release of granisetron.La présente invention concerne une méthode de traitement de la nausée et du vomissement induits par une chimiothérapie chez des individus soumis à une chimiothérapie et précédemment traités avec un antagoniste 5-HT3 autre que le granisétron, et qui nont pas répondu audit traitement. Les individus nayant pas répondu, par exemple, au palonosétron, comme le montre une prévention ou une atténuation inadéquates de la nausée et du vomissement induits par une chimiothérapie aigus ou différés, sont traités au moyen dun véhicule dadministration de médicament semi-solide qui assure une libération soutenue de granisétron.
