The present invention relates to a hoe operated by electric power for eliminating weeds grown between crops or furrows to prevent the growth of the weeds, thereby improving a working environment and enhancing work efficiency. According to the present invention, the hoe operated by electric power includes a main body provided with a front wheel and a rear wheel； a rotor assembly which is rotatably joined to the main body； a hoe blade unit installed in the rotor assembly and rotating with the rotor assembly； an engine fixed on the main body； and a driving power transmission unit which connects the engine and a shaft of the rotor assembly to transmit the driving power of the engine to the rotor assembly.
