PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter assembly which ensures that an operator is prevented from touching the balloon with a drug coated thereon for reliable delivery of the balloon to a lesioned part.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter assembly 10 comprises a shaft body 12 having a tip end to which a balloon 14 with a drug coated on the surface is attached, the balloon 14 having an outer peripheral side being mounted with a cylindrical sleeve 20. For delivery of the balloon 14 to a lesioned part, a recovery tool 22 is disposed between the sleeve 20 and a guiding catheter 58, and the sleeve 20 is moved radially while being rotated together with the shaft body 12, causing the balloon 14 to move from the sleeve 20 to the inside of the guiding catheter 58, so that at the same time the sleeve 20 begins to be split off from the tip end side by a projection part 52 and the split piece 66 of the sleeve is collected into a recovery box 50 of the recovery tool 22.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】バルーンカテーテル組立体において、薬剤のコーティングされたバルーンに術者が触れてしまうことを阻止して病変部まで確実に送達する。【解決手段】バルーンカテーテル組立体10を構成するシャフト本体12の先端には、その表面に薬剤が塗布されたバルーン14が装着され、該バルーン14の外周側には円筒状のスリーブ20が装着される。そして、バルーン14を病変部へと送達する際、スリーブ20とガイディングカテーテル58との間に回収具22を配置し、前記スリーブ20をシャフト本体12と共に回転させながら軸方向に移動させることにより、バルーン14が前記スリーブ20からガイディングカテーテル58の内部へと移動すると同時に、該スリーブ20が突起部52によって先端側から破断し始め、破断したスリーブ片66が回収具22の回収箱50へと収納されていく。【選択図】図8
