The present invention relates to functional tea comprising leaves of Ginkgo biloba as a main ingredient and a manufacturing method thereof and, more specifically, to tea having improved palatability and antioxidant activities and being easy to take and a manufacturing method thereof. The functional tea is made by mixing ground stems of Gastrodia elata and ground leaves of Ginkgo biloba at a weight ratio of 1 : 1. The ground stems of Gastrodia elata are mixed by spraying a coating agent on a main ingredient. By coarse grinding stems of Gastrodia elata dried with hot air and filtering the same with a sieve of 2-4 mm, a part on the sieve is used as the main ingredient and a part passing the sieve is used as the coating agent. The ground leaves of Ginkgo biloba are mixed by spraying a coating agent on a main ingredient.
