A weighted blanket with a removable cover system includes a blanket bodyhaving afirst side, a second side and a plurality of weighted elements positionedtherebetween. A firstconnector is disposed along an outer periphery of the blanket body along thefirst side. Thesystem also includes a cover having a first complementary connector that isdisposed along aportion of an inside facing surface. The complementary connector functioningto engage theprimary connector to receive and secure the blanket body to the cover. A pairof secondaryconnectors are disposed along the outer periphery of the cover and function toremovablysecure the cover in a closed position that fully encompass the blanket bodysecured within.
