A replacement valve for use within a human body. The valve comprises a valve component and a stent component including a first section, a second section for housing the valve component, and a third section configured for removable attachment to a delivery device. The second section includes a plurality of U--shaped struts, each U-shaped strut having a closed end adjacent the third section and an open end adjacent the first section. A first arm of a respective U- shaped strut is connected to a second arm of the respective U-shaped strut to form the closed end. The second section further includes a lattice structure forming sets of lattice cells, each set of lattice cells disposed between the first and second arms of a respective U-shaped strut.
