PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an experimental animal-rearing unit, capable of surely and rapidly detecting the development of an abnormality in a rearing environment, without giving any serious damage to the animals under rearing, preventing the development of the microbiological pollution and death accident of the rearing animals, and capable of aiming at the great improvement of safety of the animal rearing, and a system for detecting the abnormality of the experimental animal-rearing unit, capable of watching the above for 24 h and all the year round by online.SOLUTION: The experimental animal-rearing unit includes an air-supplying means for supplying air into rearing chambers, the rearing chambers held as a prescribed shape swollen by air supply from the air-supplying means, an air-supplying filter installed between the air-supplying means and the rearing chambers, and a sensor for detecting the abnormality in the rearing chambers.
