PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring muscle while not giving stress to an experimental animal during measurement by utilizing the instinctive behavior of the experimental animal such as a mouse or a rat.SOLUTION: The method for measuring the muscle of a subject includes: a step of engaging the subject and a muscle measuring member by a connection member in order to measure the muscle of four limbs while reducing the stress to be given to an animal which is the subject a step of introducing the subject into a cylindrical member for housing the subject and a step for measuring the muscle of the subject by moving the subject in the cylindrical member to the opposite side of the muscle measuring member.
