PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can be miniaturized because leakage hardly occurs on ground that a middle height portion continues to fit a wearers excretory opening having a complicated shape, both in a dry state before absorption of menstrual blood and in a wet state after the absorption of the menstrual blood.SOLUTION: An absorbent article includes a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and a predetermined absorber between the liquid-permeable top sheet and the liquid-impermeable back sheet. The absorbent article has a middle high portion including a predetermined cushion portion and protruding in the thickness direction of the absorbent article, in an excretory opening abutting area.
