SOLUTION: A communication part 15 acquires the multi-frame image file from a modality 20 under the control of a processor 11. The processor 11 generates single frame image data expressing the medical image for the portion of one frame and based ON multi-frame image data included in the multi-frame image file. The processor 11 generates collateral information concerning the generated single frame image data and based ON collateral information included in the multi-frame image file. The processor 11 generates the single frame image file including the generated single frame image data and the collateral information.
