PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system that can learn motion of a monitoring target and notify various states of the monitoring target with higher accuracy irrespective of whatever the monitoring target is.SOLUTION: A household server 1 included in a monitoring system makes detection result indicating motion of a monitoring target detected by a sensor device 2 as a motion pattern of the monitoring target, refers to a monitoring database on the basis of the detection result detected by the sensor device 2, while, as states of the monitoring target, content of the motion of the monitoring target input via a terminal device 8 is stored and registered in the monitoring database WT, and determines a state corresponding to the motion pattern as the content of the motion of the monitoring target and notifies it to the terminal device 8.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
