PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer film for food products, which can transfer an optional picture pattern easily to the food product and can be handled easily.SOLUTION: A transfer film 10 for food products is obtained by arranging a soluble film part 30 and a transfer color part 40 in this order on a base film part 20 having water resistance. The soluble film part is set on one surface of the base film part and formed by applying a starch solution to one surface of the base film part. The starch solution is prepared by irradiating a gelatinized product of starch with an ultrasonic wave to obtain physically-processed starch having low molecular weight and dissolving the physically-processed starch and a plasticizer in water. The transfer color part is formed as a mirror image on the outer surface of the soluble film part by using an edible pigment. The starch incorporated in the soluble film part is waxy starch. The plasticizer contains any one of monosaccharide, disaccharide and sugar alcohol.
