PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thresher for a combine harvester, in which the surface waviness of a plant foot transporting chain included in a waste-straw transport device is suppressed to enhance a drive efficiency and to reduce noises.SOLUTION: A plant foot transporting device (81) in a waste-straw transport device (50) includes: two follower sprockets (82, 84) for winding a waste culm transferring chain (85) a drive sprocket (83) for engaging with a portion of the chain (85) on a non-transportation action side of the chain (85) to drive the chain (85) and a chain pressing member (100) arranged to confront the drive sprocket (83). The chain pressing member (100) includes: a front pushing portion (100a) for pushing a portion on the loose side of the chain (85) and a back pushing portion (100b) for pushing a portion on the tense side of the chain (85).
