PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved electrosurgical instrument.SOLUTION: A surgical instrument 1 has an end-effector 14 capable of several different operations, including grasping, cutting, and sealing and/or coagulating tissue, and one of the operations is controlled by a clamp handle arranged on a handle 10 and moveable relative to the electrosurgical instrument or by a trigger or switches arranged on the handle to move the end-effector between two conditions.
