A trimmer line (10) for use with a trimmer head (14) having an outer diameter (30) and defining an axis of rotation (34). The trimmer line (10) may include an elongated body (50) having a first end (54), an opposite second end (58), and a center (62) between the first end (54) and the second end (58). The trimmer line (10) also may also include indicia (70, 70', 70'', 70''', 70'''', 70''''') formed on the elongated body (50) and spaced from the center point (62) a distance greater than or equal to about half the outer diameter (30).
