An inhalation counter is provided for combination with a metered dose inhaler for asthma and is composed of a top cover having a surface forming an observation window. The interior of the top cover is provided with a circuit board and a battery for supply of power. The circuit board comprises a counter circuit and a display screen. The display screen is arranged below the observation window.
