The invention proposes a two-component bone cement that comprises A) a pasteascomponent A, comprising al) methylmethacrylate a2) at least onemethylmethacrylate-soluble polymer having a number average molar mass of lessthan 500,000 Dalton a3) at least one methylmethacrylate-insoluble particulatepolymer having a particle size D50 of less than 50 µm a4) at least onemethylmethacrylate-soluble hydroperoxide and a5) at least onemethylmethacrylate-solubletertiary amine and B) a powder as component B, comprising b1) at least oneparticulate radiopaquer having a particle size D50 of less than 50 µm b2)at leastone methylmethacrylate-soluble heavy metal salt and b3) at least onemethylmethacrylate-soluble reducing agent.The mixing of paste A and powdered component B immediately generates a tack-freeplastically deformable cement dough, without any waiting time, that self-curesbymeans of radical polymerisation.
