This invention provides a skin renewal growth factor, wherein the skin renewal growth factor is obtained by separating platelets from pig blood first, which is then activated by an activator and followed by centrifugation and freeze-drying processes. The present invention further provides a method to promote skin cell regeneration by using the aforesaid skin renewal growth factor. The present invention also provides a method to inhibit secretion of melanin by using the aforesaid skin renewal growth factor. The present invention further provides a skin care product containing the aforementioned skin renewal growth factor for skin care.
