PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and compact cholesterol concentration measuring apparatus without the need of collecting blood.SOLUTION: The cholesterol concentration measuring apparatus includes: a light source 4 emitting light of wavelength in a mid-infrared region an ATR prism 10 that measures the absorption spectrum intensity of a specimen by an attenuated total reflection method by using the light emitted from the light source 4 band-pass filters that are disposed in an emission light path of the ATR prism 10 and allow the passing of light of a prescribed band width with a prescribed peak of the absorption spectrum in the mid-infrared region of cholesterol ester defined as a central wavelength respectively a filter driving section 15 sequentially changing over and disposing the plurality of band-pass filters a detector 8 that detects the absorption spectrum intensity of the specimen from the light that is emitted from the ATR prism 10 and passes through the plurality of band-pass filters and a control/data processing section for calculating the cholesterol ester concentration based on the absorption spectrum intensity detected by the detector 8.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】血液を採取することなく、安価で小型化できるコレステロール濃度測定装置を提供する。【解決手段】中赤外領域の波長の光を出射する光源4と、光源4から出射した光を用いて全反射減衰法により試料の吸収スペクトル強度を測定するためのATRプリズム10と、ATRプリズム10の出射光路中に配置され、コレステロールエステルの中赤外領域における吸収スペクトルの所定のピークをそれぞれ中心波長とした所定帯域を透過するバンドパスフィルタと、複数のバンドパスフィルタを順次、配置するように切換えるフィルタ駆動部15と、ATRプリズム10から出射し、複数のバンドパスフィルタを透過した光から試料の吸収スペクトル強度を検出する検出器8と、検出器8で検出された吸収スペクトル強度に基づいてコレステロールエステル濃度を算出する制御・データ処理部3と、を備える。【選択図】 図2
