PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body communication device and an authentication method therefor which can authenticate communication intention of a person who carries a human body communication terminal.SOLUTION: In a human body communication device 10, a first human body communication terminal 11 carried by a person includes first detection means 16 for detecting first bio-physiological information 31 of a person 13 who carries the terminal 11. A human body communication terminal 12 includes a human body contact sensor 26 and second detection means 27 for detecting second bio-physiological information 32 of a person touching the human body contact sensor 26.
