PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in diffusibility and absorption speed of body fluid, and liquid return suppression even when repeatedly absorbing body fluid.SOLUTION: An absorbent article is an absorbent article which includes an absorption core 9 including highly absorbent polymer particles. The absorption core 9 comprises a first layer 6 at a non-skin facing surface side, and a second layer 8 at a skin facing surface side, the first layer 6 extends along a longitudinal direction L, and includes a groove part 18 including a main groove part 19 penetrating into a thickness direction T, and a base part 20 extending along a longitudinal direction L. The main groove part 19 and the base part 20 alternately extend in a short direction W, the second layer 8 includes a main groove part corresponding part 22 and a base part corresponding part 24 in a position overlapped on the main groove part 19 and the base part 20.
