A nasal suction aspirator or drainage device 100 has a collection chamber for aspirated secretion in an inner space defined by a main body 24 which has a detachable, airtight cover 22 and a detachable resilient bulb 30 having an air outlet 34, and there being a one-way valve 40 allowing air flow from the inner space into the bulb 30 while preventing reverse air flow of contaminated air being pumped out through a detachable suction head 50. The cover 22 includes a first tube extending from the suction head 50 into the inner space for secretion sucked into the collection chamber whilst the main body includes a second tube with the one-way valve 40 allowing air flow only out of the inner space and into the resilient bulb 30. The bulb air outlet 34 may be a slit or chink in the bulb which opens automatically when the bulb is squeezed and closes upon release, or is closed manually by a persons finger.
