A silicone oil-in-water emulsion comprising:an organopolysiloxane containing polymer of the following general formula        R(3-a)R1aSiO[(R2SiO)b(RR1SiO)c]SiR(3-a)R1a     (1)wherein each R is the same or different and is an alkyl group containing 1-8 carbon atoms, a substituted alkyl group containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms or a phenyl group R1 is a hydroxy group, a hydrolysable group, an unsaturated organic group a is zero or 1, b is an integer and c is zero or an integer and the sum of b + c is equal to a value of at least 200 andan inert organopolysiloxane and/or an organic fluid.
