The present invention relates the use of a beta blocker for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of hemangiomas, for example of infantile hemangiomas. The beta blocker may be a non-selective beta-blocker, for example propranolol. The present invention provides an alternative to the known compounds, e.g. coroticosteroïds, interferon or vincristine, generally used for the treatment of hemangiomas.
