A live bait containment system for a watercraft hatch has a hatch interfacing collar having an underside male interface configured for releasable securement with a female male interface of a permanently affixed hatch plate in use. The collar has an underside mouth to which a bladder is engaged in a fluid tight manner and the bladder is capable of distending to a diameter greater than that of the male interface. The system also has an upper entrance defining an opening into an interior of the bladder thereunderneath and a pump which pumps via the entrance into the bladder.
