A liquid dispenser (1), comprising:a container (200) configured to store liquid and having an upper opening;a base (100) to support the container (200) and having a sidewall;a pump (192) having an inlet (192c) to suction liquid stored in the container (200) and an outlet (192a) to discharge the liquid;a lid (300, 400) seated on the container (200) to close the upper opening and having a hole (421) through which liquid discharged from the outlet (192a) of the pump (192) flows;a controller (C) provided in the base (100); and,at least one radar sensor (125) provided in the base (100), wherein the radar sensor (125) faces the sidewall of the base (100) to emit a signal through the sidewall of the base (100) and to sense a distance of a moving object from the liquid dispenser, and an operation of the pump (192) is controlled by the controller (C) based on a sensed distance of the moving object by the radar sensor (125).
